Projects may satisfy the requirement by installing artwork valued at one percent (1%) of the total valuation on-site. If the value of the artwork, including art consultant fees and the costs for design, fabrication, installation, and documentation, is not equal to or greater than the Civic Enhancement Allocation, the difference shall be paid into the Public Art fund. Maintenance and conservation of the artwork will be the responsibility of the development owner. Projects may also satisfy the requirement by maintaining a portion of the premises which is open and accessible for cultural use. Should the value of the area made available for public use not equal or exceed the required fee, the difference shall be contributed to the Public Art Fund. Alternatively, developers may pay an in-lieu fee equal to one half percent (0.5%) of the total building valuation for the development into the Public Art Fund.
