Program Summary
The Code establishes that all new residential, commercial, or public construction; and non-residential repair for which a building permit is required are subject to a mandatory public art requirement. Utilities, remodeling, repair, or reconstruction following damage by fire, flood, wind, earthquake, or other calamity is excluded from this requirement. Private Developers must contribute one percent (1%) of the construction value of real property improvements to the public art fund.
