Program Summary
The Policy requests that all development projects contribute to a voluntary public art program by either including public art within the development; providing public art off of development site; or contributing to the Public Art Fund, which is used for the acquisition or commission of art on City- owned land, art educational programs, shows, and special events. The requested value is approximately one percent (1%) of the total project cost (construction and land). All developers are required to come before the Public Art Commission at an advertised, regularly-scheduled, public meeting of the Commission before they are issued building permits.
